Great little beach dive bar and grill; ice cold beer in a frozen glass hit the spot after the beach. Food was good, AC was blasting and the service was excellent.
Best burgers we've had in Hampton. Hands down. I did the teriyaki, she did the butter garlic with Cheddar. Outstanding job Mill Creek, we'll be back...a lot
If you didn't know it was there, you would drive right by Mill Creek Tavern and not give it a second thought. It is not very big, and while it isn't designed for families, that doesn't mean they aren't family friendly. They don't have a kids menu, but their chicken strips and fries were a hit with my youngest two. (They split them) The service was tremendous, you could tell that this place has a number of regulars, a number of gentlemen came in to play pool and they were all greeted by name. But even though we had never been there, the same kindness and service was extended to us and we felt like we could have been regulars too. The burgers were unique and fantastic, and we loved the fried cheese curds!
Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover! I’ll be the first to admit that the outside appearance of Mill Creek Tavern might make you hesitate, but this is a true "don't judge a book by its cover" situation. Once you step inside, you’re met with a warm, incredibly welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The burgers were fantastic—easily some of the best we’ve had in a long time. My 2 teenagers destroyed theirs. Beyond the food, the owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make sure my family of 4 were taken care of. It’s the kind of place where you’ll see a mix of dedicated regulars and new faces like us, and everyone fits right in. If you're looking for a spot that prioritizes great food and a friendly vibe over a fancy exterior, this is it. We will definitely be back if we're in the area again!
I've been wanting to come here for a while. They have $2 taco Tuesdays which were awesome. I suggest getting The buffalo chicken bites. They were nothing that I've ever had in this area. With a crispy coat shell on them with the buffalo sauce which made it amazing. The seasoned tacos were great. The vegetables were fresh. I tried one of my husbands soft shells that were delicious. Unfortunately my hard taco shells were a little old but nothing to complain about. I will still be coming back. Great atmosphere. A very small quaint restaurant with friendly staff. One pool table, games, jukebox, and lots of friendly people.
Can't believe it took me so long to find and enjoy Mill Creek Tavern. Trying to find corned beef and cabbage and every where I was told had it, they didn't. Called and was told they had it. Pulled in and my hope rose, walked in and loved the atmosphere. Very friendly staff and patrons. Had a great time! Corned beef and cabbage was delicious. I now have a new go to. Can't wait to return and try their burgers and the rest of the menu items. Thank you for being part of our community.
This place is a lil hole in the wall. Serve food and beer only. It was packed on Saturday evening when we went . Food and service was fantastic. I had the steak bites and husband had patty melt. Reasonable prices. Haven’t had a bad experience there yet. Good neighborhood bar.

If you're looking for great food and friends then you need to visit this little gem located on Mallory between Buckroe and Phoebus. We love the food. Very local place. Everyone seemed to know each other. The burgers are huge and so yummy. They also have other little specials. The lady was super nice and refilled and checked on us a few times.
Good diners like Mill Creek Tavern are hard to find. I'd read that this place was known for their amazing burgers, and I was not one bit disappointed to discover the truth! All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The regulars were very welcoming as well, even to us "out-of-towners." A very "everybody knows everybody" kind of place. There is a burger on the menu for every type of burger eater out there, which made the choice really hard. Ultimately I chose the Honky Tonk, 10/10 if you like a spicy burger. My girlfriend chose the Hangover, which is the ultimate breakfast burger, piled high with egg and hashbrowns. The Tavern does not sell liquor at the time of our visit, but they do have all the best beers to pair with your burger. It's important to know that you can't judge this place's food and service by it's outward appearance, which serves as a clever disguise to hide this "gem."
